Boxing at Ludus
Recreational boxing
Open to everyone, in an accessible gym under the supervision of a Boxe Canada-certified coach. The goal: improve your fitness and learn technique in a non-competitive setting.
No experience required. You are never required to spar or compete. You progress at your own pace.
What does a class look like? Each session generally follows the same structure: a warm-up to get the body ready, a technique block (guard, footwork, basic punches), work on the pads or bags to put that technique into practice, then a conditioning segment (cardio, strength work). The pace and intensity adjust to the group and to each participant.
This setting works for anyone who wants to move, learn a combat sport in a safe environment, or simply blow off steam after a busy week — no matter your age or starting fitness level. Group classes are open to all levels, from complete beginners to people who have been boxing for years; the full schedule and the details of every option are on the services page.
Competitive amateur boxing
For those who want to test their skills in a respectful, regulated setting. The focus is on fair play, technique, and mental preparation.
Access to the competitive stream is by a coach’s recommendation, once the fundamentals of recreational boxing are solid. The move from one stream to the other happens gradually, always at the coach’s initiative once they judge a participant ready — nobody is pushed toward competition before they’re prepared for it.
